Course Description:This seminar’s agenda is designed cover the common principles of caring for patients with pulmonary compromise, as well as discussing hot topics in Pulmonary Management. This seminar is very relevant for both nurses and respiratory therapists who care for patients in sub-acute or emergency/critical care areas. Speakers will also cover various topics in ethics and infection control during this seminar.

Our Speakers:

Terrence Shenfield, BS, RRT-NPS, RPFT
Terry has over 22 years of experience in Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine; he is a recognized expert in managing of critically ill patients on mechanical ventilation utilizing both invasive and non-invasive ventilation strategies. He brings an extensive background as a Clinical Educator of Respiratory Care Services at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Terry is the co-owner of A & T Lectures LLC, with many years of presenting at seminars both nationally and locally. He has spoken on various subject matters in respiratory care, including patient safety, infection control and the risks of untreated OSA. Terry enjoys interacting with the audience in a casual way that promotes a great learning environment and sharing of ideas and experiences.

Renee’ Rainey, RRT, RN, BSN
Renee’ has over 18 years of experience in healthcare across the two disciplines. She has been extensively trained in Emergency Medicine/Trauma as both a Respiratory Therapist and Registered Nurse. Renee’ received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Thomas Edison State College in New Jersey and is currently completing an MBA at Centenary College in New Jersey. Renee’ has held many positions in healthcare, including Senior Respiratory Therapist, nursing administrator, nurse educator and clinical educator for a major pharmaceutical firm. Renee’ has lectured on many topics of interest to both respiratory and nursing. She is passionate about patient care and enjoys sharing the understanding she has gained through her years of experience.

Accreditation: 15 AARC and 15 Nursing Contact Hours
This activity has been submitted to the PA State Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours. PA State Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
